Election preparations: Parties to list reserved candidates

The notification states that when the list is received, it will be printed in the officials’ gazette

PESHAWAR: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has instructed all political parties in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) to submit the list of their reserved female and minority candidates. A notification issued by the K-P election commission informed the parties to submit the priority list of their reserved female provincial assembly candidates and reserved female and minority candidates for the National Assembly by March 29 to the office of Sonu Khan Baloch, the K-P election commissioner. The notification states that when the list is received, it will be printed in the officials’ gazette and will be considered final with no room for change. The priority list must contain all relevant information of the candidate including name, parentage and marital status. It should be signed by the party head or any senior party leader and should be printed on the letterhead of the political party.
