Polio scare: Polio case reported in Rahim Yar Khan

The girl was diagnosed with polio two years ago when she was 8 months old.

BAHAWALPUR: Several Health Department officials were dismissed on March 13 for negligence after a two-year old girl was reported to have contracted polio, The Express Tribune has learnt. The girl was diagnosed with polio two years ago when she was 8 months old. The health department was informed about the case but they did not treat her. Vaccinator Murad Langha and Assistant Superintendent Malik Jahangir have been dismissed from service while DDO (Health) Dr Manzoor Ahmad’s promotion has been stopped.
