ISLAMABAD:
Sultan Bahu’s poetry conveys the message of global peace and permanent love of supernatural force.

This was stated on the last day of a two-day “International Hazrat Sultan Bahu Conference”, organised by the Muslim Institute in collaboration with the Sultan Bahu Forum.

Former National Assembly deputy speaker Faisal Karim Kundi said, “We must improve Pakistan’s image in the comity of nations and this is only possible if we promote the Sufi teachings of peace and harmony”. Founder of Muslim Institute Sultan Muhammad Ali said that all philosophers and Sufis in the history of Islam discovered themselves through spirituality, because religious inspiration remains inadequate without the experiential dimensions of spirituality.

Dr Maria Isabel Maldonado, Incharge Institute of Languages, University of the Punjab, said that Bahu himself feels the effect of love and the ultimate purpose described by him is to submit to the love of Allah entirely.

Dr Abdul Aziz Sahir, Chairman of Allama Iqbal Open University’s Urdu Department, said that by following the teachings of Bahu the heart is purified. “Bahu’s Punjabi poetry is the reason behind his popularity and represents the most elaborate explanation of mystic philosophy,” Sahir said.
