Keeping an eye out: Police arrest three men, seize 30kg of explosives

The police claimed that Shaukat Sardar alias Usman claimed he was affiliated with the LeJ.

Three suspects, who allegedly belong to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ), were nabbed on Thursday after a brief shootout on Manghopir Road.


The suspects were riding two motorcycles when a police mobile stopped them for a routine check, but the men opened fire, DSP Asghar Usman told The Express Tribune.

After an exchange of fire, the police arrested three suspects while one of their accomplices managed to escape.

The police claimed that Shaukat Sardar alias Usman claimed he was affiliated with the LeJ while Inamullah alias Farooq and Tawakkal alias Waziri, said that they worked for TTP.
