Directive To Mari Gas: ‘Give gas discovered in Ziarat to Quetta’

QUETTA: Oil, gas and minerals companies working in Balochistan should play their role in the social and economic development of the areas they are working in besides providing jobs to the local people.

Governor Balochistan Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi said this during a meeting with the managing director of Mari Gas Company Lt Gen (retd) Raza Mohammad Khan on Tuesday.

Khan said that Mari Gas Company had discovered natural gas in Ziarat district around Kohst, Harnai, Zargoon, Ghar and Hana areas and planning was under way to develop the gas fields.

Governor Balochistan expressing pleasure on the discovery directed Mari Gas to provide the gas discovered in Ziarat to Quetta city and nearby areas to meet the shortages in the province.
