Squash: PSF rewards national junior team

Pakistan defeated India 2-0 in the championship final to clinch the gold medal.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) President Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt awarded cash prizes to the national junior team for winning a gold medal at the 16th Asian Junior Squash Team Championship held at Seoul, Korea last month. The boys’ team comprising Ali Bukhari, Tayyab Aslam, Ammad Fareed and Bilal Zakir delivered impressive performances in the event. Pakistan defeated India 2-0 in the championship final to clinch the gold medal. The PSF chief lauded the performance of the team and said that the victory would help in bringing back the lost glories in the game of squash. He also expressed satisfaction on the performance of the girls’ team which finished fifth.
