Two motorcyclist were waiting for Zaidi at a speed bump.

The principal of a government college in Karachi, Syed Sibte Jafar Zaidi, was killed in a targeted attack on Tuesday.


The 54-year-old, who was also a poet, was on his way home to Khamosh Colony on a motorcycle when, around 1:45pm, he was shot dead around 200 metres from Government Degree Science College Liaquatabad, where Zaidi taught.

According to witnesses, two motorcyclist were waiting for Zaidi at a speed bump. “As soon as his motorcycle slowed down, they shot him at least four times,” said shopkeeper Amjad Ali.
