LAHORE: The High Level Design Committee on Monday approved building plans for three residential buildings and deferred approval of plans for several commercial buildings.

District Coordination Officer Noorul Amin Mengal chaired the committee meeting at the Town Hall.

District officer (Special Planning) Umme Laila briefed the DCO on the construction plans for residential and commercial buildings.

While plans for three residential buildings were approved, the DCO said the plans for commercial buildings did not include space allocation for parking lots or fire escapes.

Approval of maps for Emipha Lahore, Empress Road Plaza and other commercial buildings has been deferred.

Mengal asked the Works and Services EDO and civil defence officials to visit these buildings and submit a report on them.
