Shaikh would continue to work as the additional IG of Karachi until a new city chief is appointed.
In an another development, DIG Sanaullah Abbasi has been posted as the new Sindh DIG Headquarters.
Earlier, on March 15, he was made the chief of the Rapid Response Force (RFF) while DIG Imran Yaqoob Minhas was posted as DIG Headquarters. DIG Minhas will now head the RFF.
According to sources, further reshuffle is expected in the coming days.
