Crafts exhibition: PSIC’s exhibition concludes

The exhibition was aimed at promoting handicrafts including metal carving, garments and embroidery, says Tarar.

LAHORE: A three-day crafts exhibition by the Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC) attracted a large number of visitors at the Lahore City Heritage Museum on Sunday. PSIC Regional Director Ali Raza Tarar said the exhibition was aimed at promoting handicrafts including metal carving, garments and embroidery. He said a majority of the visitors were women interested in local handicrafts. He said salt crafts from Khewra, stone crafts from Taxila and leather and wood work were exhibited.He said the PSIC was committed to assuring livelihood to poor artisans training them. He said that on the special directives of Industries and Investment Secretary Shujaat Ali and Managing Director Farhan Aziz Khawaja, soft loans and conditions were being given to poor artisans.
