KARACHI: Karachi Dolphins and Lahore Lions booked their places in the semi-finals of the Faysal Bank One Day Cup after recording convincing wins in their respective group matches yesterday.

Shahzaib Hasan (135) and Saeed Bin Nasir (114) starred with centuries as Dolphins achieved a mammoth 347-target with seven balls to spare to overcome Multan Tigers by five wickets in their final Group A match.

Shahzaib made 135 and Nasir hit 114 to take Dolphins past Tigers on net run-rate after both sides finished with eight points from six matches.

Earlier, Sohaib Maqsood hit a whirlwind 156 off only 95 deliveries to steer Tigers to a competitive total.

Hyderabad Hawks, who were the other semi-final contenders in the group, suffered an eight-wicket loss to Sialkot Stallions to bow out of the event.

Meanwhile, Lahore excelled to crush Abbottabad Falcons by 197 runs and joined Karachi Zebras in the last-four line-up from Group B.
