KRC cancels race results after poor show

The three favourites Sweet Girl, Dhana dhan and Tayyara fail to perform well in the Rs80,000 race.

KARACHI: The Karachi Race Club (KRC) managing committee cancelled the result of the biggest race of the day as the favourites, Abdul Hafeez’s Sweet Girl, Farhad Feroze Khan’s Dhana dhan and Syed Ali’s Tayyara, failed to perform well in the Rs80,000 race.

“We had to cancel the race because the three favourites didn’t perform and the competition level of the race was very poor,” KRC Secretary Akbar Ali Shah told The Express Tribune.

Meanwhile, Jaffar Ali Rajput’s Sani emerged victorious as Ghulam Mustafa’s Golden Pocket and Konain Shah’s Zaidan secured the second and third positions in the first race of the day with Touchwood bagging Rs75,000 for Gul Mohammahd Rajar in the second race.
