KARACHI:

Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ghulam Shabbir Shaikh directed the AIG Operations on Wednesday to ensure foolproof security for teachers, administration and students of government and private schools in the city.

He ordered this after taking notice of drug addicts roaming in and around schools in Karachi.

He also sought an inquiry report based on the contents of a related news item from the AIG Operations within a week.

The IGP instructed the Zonal DIGs, particularly of Karachi, to hold meetings with the representatives of provincial education department and private schools’ management and ensure security as per their consent.
