Police Possession: Judge seeks report from SP

The judge has sought a report from the City Division superintendent of police.

An inspection team led by an additional judge discovered a school on Wednesday that had been occupied allegedly by police.


The team, comprising Education Officer Muhammad Idrees and Advocate Shehzad Akhtar, was supervised by Judge Rao Abdul Jabbar.

They raided the school on a complaint filed by a headmistress.

She said the building of the Government APWA Primary School in Sabzi Mandi was constructed in 1986, but had been occupied by police ever since.

She said the students were taught at another building in Shama Colony. Sabzi Mandi DSP said that police had rented the building for Rs1,500 a month.

He said the building was more than 100 years old and in a poor condition.

The teachers, he said, had left it on their own and had shifted to another building. The judge has sought a report from the City Division superintendent of police.
