Road Accident: Driver dies, six LUMHS students hurt

The incident happened when a speeding car hit a motorcycle and a rickshaw on the Indus highway at Jamshoro.

HYDERABAD: A road accident claimed a man’s life and left six others, including five students of Liaquat University of Medical and Health Science (LUMHS), injured.

The incident happened when a speeding car hit a motorcycle and a rickshaw, whose driver Riasat Maseeh was killed in the accident on the Indus highway at Jamshoro.

The rickshaw was carrying the medical students identified as Hina Jameel, Iqra Nadeem, Maria, Kambeel Bugti, and Adal Rana.

Hina has been shifted to Karachi to treat her fractured skull.  The four other injured students have also been shifted to a hospital. The sixth injured person, Salar Shoro, was on the motorcycle.

The car that caused the accident fled from the scene.

Road accidents are frequent in this part of the Indus highway that snakes through three universities in the neighbourhood.
