ISLAMABAD:
After three years of consecutive flooding, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is working on developing a mechanism to provide insurance to disaster-prone areas in the country. Mandated by the National Disaster Risk Management Framework (NDMRF), a concept note on Disaster Risk Insurance for Low income communities was already approved. According to the Ministry of Climate Change, the concept note outlines the general features of a programme that NDMA proposed.
