Swat university: Women’s college to be set up

The college would be a pleasant addition to the education sector in the area, says participants.

SWAT: To train women in professional skills, Swat University will soon establish a College of Home Sciences, said a press release issued by the university on Thursday. In this connection, a consultative meeting was held at the university on the same day which was chaired by Vice Chancellor (VC) Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan. “The university administration felt need for a home sciences college for the local women, where they could learn professional skills and improve their living standard,” he said. Participants of the meeting appreciated the initiative, saying that the college would be a pleasant addition to the education sector in the area and will help enhance the capacity of the women.
