MANSEHRA:

Around 15 candidates for primary teachers have been barred from hiring process, owing to fake documents.

The elders of Hasanzai tribe called a meeting of officials of education department, revenue and administration to discuss the matter on Thursday. Earlier, the Elementary and Secondary Education Department had invited applications from Torghar District for filling the vacant posts of different cadres of primary teachers. Around 100 candidates applied for these applications.

However, when the department found that the candidates did not belong to the district and thus did not qualify for the set criteria, they raised objection.

The department called in elders of different tribes to scrutinise and validate the documents. The committee pointed out that 15 candidates had obtained fake domicile certificates, erroneously showing themselves as members of Hasanzai tribe of the district.

The committee warned the education department of protest if any candidates was hired. They recalled some time back, that some candidates from other parts of the province had usurped their right and got employed in the education department on fake domiciles and when the tribal elders pointed out they were sacked. In the newly-created district, the administrative and infrastructural setup is still in progress.
