ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday ordered all political parties, contesting in upcoming elections, to remove their billboards and wall chalking by March 11, 2013, Express News reported on Thursday.

Additional secretary election commission Afzal Khan told the media that, “If political parties fail to remove wall chalking and billboards then the relevant District Coordination Officer (DCO) and District Police Officer (DPO) will be held responsible.”

He said that even the SP will be answerable if the order is not fully imposed.

On March 6, secretary ECP Ishtiaq Ahmed said that the election schedule will be announced in 10 days after the present assemblies are dissolved.
