LAHORE:

Justice Sardar Tariq Masood of the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday refused to hear a petition seeking investigation of actress Sapna Khan’s kidnapping by a deputy inspector general or a higher ranked officer and arrest of MPA Sardar Dost Khosa, Khan’s former husband.

Justice Masood sent the case to the LHC chief justice for hearing before Justice Sheikh Najamul Hassan, who had been hearing the case previously.

Advocate Azhar Siddique filed the petition on behalf of Khan’s family and submitted that Civil Lines DSP Safdar Raza Kazmi, investigating officer in the case, was favouring Khosa. The counsel said DSP Kazmi had tampered with the evidence provided by the complainant.
