Crime unabated: Two gunned down in separate incidents in Baluchistan

At least two people were gunned down in Sibi and Kalat in two separate incidents on Sunday.


Meanwhile, a bomb discovered by a boy was successfully defused by authorities in the Wadh area of Khuzdar district.

A man identified as Allah Ditta was gunned down in Lehri, Sibi some 160 kilometers away from Quetta. In the second incident, another man was gunned down in Kalat. According to sources, unknown men on a motorcycle opened fire on Abdul Khaliq — killing him instantaneously in Kalat Bazzar. The cause of the killing could not be ascertained till the filing of this report.

Bomb found, defused

Khuzdar police also defused a five kg bomb which was planted under a bridge at the RCD highway area of Khuzdar on Sunday.

According to Station House Officer (SHO) Nisar Ahmed Mengal a boy had discovered the bomb in Killi Ibrahimzai area.  The Bomb Disposal Squad later defused the device.

Meanwhile, a sub inspector of the Kechi Baig Police Station died of suffocation as a gas heater consumed oxygen in his room.

According to the police, Sanaullah died of asphyxia and his body was handed over to his relatives for burial after legal formalities.
