The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had filed an application in the accountability court calling for Riaz and his son to be acquitted in a fraud case regarding 1,401 kanals of land.
Accepting NAB’s application, the accountability court wrapped up the case and acquitted the two accused.
Riaz, speaking to the media outside the court, said that he has forgiven everyone involved in the case.
Earlier, Riaz and his accomplices were booked by the Anti-Corruption Establishment in two FIRs on the charge of acquiring 1,401 kanals of land near Rawat on fake and forged documents in 2009.

For your statement to be true, it would mean that your judiiary is beholden to the President. Why then do you think it took up memogate? Why do you think it actually removed Gilani?
No. If at all there is some unfairness in the judgment, it could be a deal where Malik Riaz may have agreed to not bring forward additional bribery cases against the CJ's son.
@kala_bacha:
That's your azad adliyya who did this, don't blame Zardari for this.
With regards to the desalination plant, my understanding is that it is a very costly project, highly energy intensive and the water it produces is very expensive as well. The arabs may be able to afford it, but at a great cost to the marine environment, as the salty water is returned back to the sea, thus making it even more saline and killing the marine life. I do not think that small scale farmers, who are cash strapped, or the poor can afford to pay for this water. So who in Pakistan would benefit?

Is this the land for DHA valley?
