Reckless driving: Road accidents leave three dead, seven injured

As many as three people died and seven people were injured in several road accidents.


A bus travelling on Sargodha-Lahore Road ran over a child who was trying to cross the road near Dhodha Mor.

The child succumbed to her injuries. Her family forgave the bus driver on the spot. The bus conductor drove the vehicle up to Bhagtanawala and a passenger, Asmatullah, drove the bus from there.

He had driven four kilometres when he had a heart attack and died on the spot. The bus then veered off track and landed on the footpath.

None of the passengers were injured. Asmatullah’s body was taken to a hospital in the area.

Ghulam Rasool and Syed Rasool were trying to cross Jhang Road on a motorbike when they ran into a dog and were injured.

Naseer Ahmed who worked for a bakery in Bhera had gone to pick the milk supply when while trying to avoid a donkey-cart on the road he was hit by a speeding car. Ahmed succumbed to his injuries.

A Suzuki van and a motorbike crashed into each other on Joharabad-Quaidabad Road near Haddali. As a result, three men on the motorbike Muhamamd Aftab, Umar Iqbal and Sohail Akram were severely injured.
