Steady rain washed out the first Twenty20 international between South Africa and Pakistan at Kingsmead here on Friday, Express News reported.

Rain fell for most of the afternoon, even through the scheduled time for the tos. Although the pitch area was covered there were large puddles on the outfield, forcing officials to call off the match.

The match is the first of two, with the second scheduled in Centurion on Sunday.

Cricket South Africa though said that fans can claim ticket refunds between March 3 and March 24.

Good... At least we won't be whitewashed and if we win the 2nd T20 by chance, we'll win the T20 Series too...
