He said he will make the announcement during a press conference on Monday, adding that he took the decision following a meeting with JUI-F’s district chief Maulana Gohar Shah. His formal induction will take place after holding meetings with former provincial minister and opposition leader Akram Khan Durrani along with other JUI-F leaders.
Shakoor claimed JUI-F will offer him a ticket to contest elections from PK-17 during the upcoming parliamentary polls. JUI-F leaders including Durrani, provincial president Shaikh Maulana Amanullah and other provincial and district leaders will be present at Shakoor’s press conference on Monday.
Shakoor was elected to the provincial assembly in 2008 from PK-17 on an ANP ticket after defeating Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal’s Muhammad Irshad Khan and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s Khanimullah Khan. Irshad was JUI-F’s candidate representing MMA, who later joined Jamaat-e-Islami in 2010. Out of the 29,462 votes cast, Shakoor secured 18,587, while Irshad received 10,019 and Khanimullah 467.
Earlier this week, Mian Nisar Gul Kakakhel left the ANP and resigned from his seat as Minister for Prisons. He reportedly had problems with ANP’s leadership over development funds allotted to prisons for the past few months.

Shakoor father was chairman of khidmat committee of charsadda in Nawaz SHARIF period There is no vote bank of Muslim league in charsadda.but ANP and JUI has, So he first joined the ANP vote plus his father Khidmat votes. JUI supported Arshad khan once Elected on PPP sherpao Backing but later leave Sherpao and joined JUI. But did nothing for his constituency. He got JUI vote in 2008 Election but Even sherpao voters gave their votes to ANP and Shakoor defeated Arshad khan with big Margin. Shakoor joining JUI will strengthen gohar shah position against Asfandyar khan. But Sherpao voters will play the key role. Both ANP and JUI are trying to make alliance with Sherpao. But Jui and Sherpao consider themselves the Alternative of ANP but JuI and sherpao has old relation of Association against ANP so gohar shah and Aftab khan will be interested to make an Alliance of JUi and QWP.
