HYDERABAD: The Liaquat University of Medical Sciences (LUMHS) unit of ‘Rover Scouts’ was inaugurated by its vice-chancellor Prof. Mashoor Alam Shah at Latif Hall, Jamshoro, on Thursday.

Addressing the oath-taking ceremony, Alam said the unit is based on the principles of serving to help the suffering of humanity, the rights of individuals, and of recognising the obligation of members to develop and use their potential.

“Scouting is a movement dedicated to bring out the best in people,” he said. Earlier, Dr Mashooque Khawaja delivered a lecture on ‘Disaster Management’ to the 250 newly inducted scouts.
