Violence against women: Woman tortured by relatives

Shamshad told police that her husband do not pay her maintenance.

MULTAN: A woman allegedly tortured by her husband and his family for 10 days was recovered on Monday, police said. Shamshad, from Shujabad area, told police that her husband did not pay her maintenance. A neighbour took pity on her and took her to her family, she said. Shamshad said her husband, brother-in-law, son and brother then accused her of having an affair.
