Squash: Pakistan to face India in final

Ali Bokhari and Tayyab Aslam made sure that Pakistan enjoyed an easy outing by winning their respective matches.

KARACHI: Pakistan will meet arch-rivals India in the final for the men’s Junior Asian Team Championship title after defeating Malaysia 2-0 in the semi-final of the event being played in Korea yesterday. Ali Bokhari and Tayyab Aslam made sure that Pakistan enjoyed an easy outing by winning their respective matches. Earlier, Pakistan had defeated hosts Korea 2-1 in the last-eight clash thanks to victories from Ali Bokhari and Bilal Zakir, while Ammad Fareed had lost his match. Meanwhile, the girls’ team participating for the first time in the event gave a decent performance, winning one out of the three matches against Sri Lanka. However, they were defeated by Hong Kong and Malaysia.
