DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A peace committee member was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Iqbal Town late Wednesday night, said an official of Gomal police station. Abdul Salam was killed around midnight and the killers managed to escape following the attack, the official added. Brother of the deceased, Sirujuddin Mehsud lodged an FIR saying his brother was killed by militants for being pro-government. Hailing from the Mehsud tribe of South Waziristan, Abdul Salam was residing in DI Khan. Further details of the incident will be shared after investigation is complete, said the official.
