Get the look: A jumpsuit sensation

Bollywood actor Chitrangda Singh, who won Best Female Debut award in 2006 and starred opposite Akshay Kumar in 2011 Desi Boyz, looked stunning as she walked in for the premiere of Kai Po Che at Cinemax in Mumbai. She ranked high on our style charts as she posed with her hands in her pocket.

Accessories



Maybe Chitrangda left her house in a hurry, because she clearly forgot to accessorise her outfit. We would have loved to see a chunky bracelet (Rs500) and some rings (Rs300 to Rs600) on her bare hands; even long, sparkly earrings (Rs600) would have been perfect to dress-up her jumpsuit. However, the B-town beauty did carry a box clutch with a long chain, which looked fabulous. To get a similar clutch, try some local shoe stores (Rs2,000).

Hair

Chitrangda’s hair comes down just below her shoulders, which she had straightened for the event. We love her big, thick bangs which were blow-dried with a large, round brush — makes her look super chic. Try using a volumiser spray if your hair is silky and straight.

Make-up



Although the diva didn’t opt for a dramatic look with her make-up, she chose to do smokey eyes. Her light-pinkish pout looks nice, but we would recommend using a brighter colour for the look. For eyes like hers, try using Glamoreyes Intense kit which has deep colours for the perfect smokey eyes (Rs850). Line your eyes with Luscious Catwalk liquid eye-liner (Rs625) and use Revlon’s Grow Luscious Fabulash waterproof mascara (Rs1,000) to complete the look. Revlon’s Super Lustrous matte in smoked peach 013 (Rs800) is the perfect lipstick to match Chitrangda’s lip colour.

Outfit



Last year brought some great jumpsuit styles, but this year, they’re even better. Chitrangda wore a black one-shoulder tailored, fitted jumpsuit that was super sexy. To get something like this, shop at stores like Mango, Mantra and Debenhams (Rs8,000) or try Pakistani designers such as Feeha Jamshed who charges around Rs5,000 for a funky, colourful jumpsuit.

Shoes



Who doesn’t own a pair of black pumps? If you don’t have them at home, get your hands on a sexy pair at Nine West (Rs5,000), Charles and Keith (Rs6,000) or Zohna’s (Rs3,000). Remember, shoes are an investment, if they’re comfortable and pretty — buy them.
