LAHORE: The Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) and Lahore Bar Association boycotted court proceedings on Monday on the direction of the Punjab Bar Council to protest against killings in Quetta. Lawyers appeared before the High Court for proceedings in urgent cases before 10am. Other courts had to adjourn all hearings. LHCBA Secretary Sardar Akbar Ali Dogar said the government had not been able to maintain law and order in Quetta despite resort to governor rule. "The authorities must ensure the protection of life and liberty of all citizens,” he said.
