According to Levies officials, armed men barged into a house in Kat Mandai area of Sibi, opened indiscriminate fire at inmates and fled.
The dead are identified as Sher Muhammad, his wife Hansu Bibi and 14-year-old son Liaquat.
They died on the spot from multiple bullet wounds.
Levies personnel dispatched bodies to local hospital for medico-legal formalities.
The deceased were stated to be residents of Dera Murad Jamali.
Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Imran said that a manhunt has been launched to arrest the assailants.
