Cardiac deaths: Date fixed in Eferoze Chemical Industry case

LAHORE: The district and sessions judge on Tuesday set February 16 for arguments on pre-arrest bails for Eferoze Chemical Industry General Manager Shakeel Nagra and Deputy Managing Director Nadir Feroze accused of criminal negligence that claimed lives of nearly 150 cardiac patients. 

Judge Nazir Ahmed Ganjana resumed hearing of the case on Tuesday. The petitioners’ lawyer did not show up on Tuesday.

A judicial commission had recommended criminal prosecution of 10 officials, including Efroze Chemicals owner, for causing death by criminal negligence.
