We will end load shedding on a priority basis, Nawaz Sharif

Nawaz meets with energy experts from UAE to discuss Punjab's load shedding.

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) leader Mian Nawaz Sharif has said that if the nation gives him a chance, then he would end load shedding on a priority basis as it has badly affected industries and the economy, Express News reported.

He made these remarks while meeting Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and a visiting delegation of energy experts from the United Arab Emirates in Model Town, Lahore. The energy experts presented their solutions to address Pakistan’s energy shortage standoff.

Mian Nawaz Sharif also said that without ending the load shedding standoff, the dream of development and prosperity cannot be realized.

His remarks come only days after his party's provincial government was criticized by former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi to have spent public money on wasteful projects, rather than on initiatives such as the Sialkot motorway and providing resources and staff to the Wazirabad hospital.

only selection of PML-N (Muslim Leage Nawaz) is the way to get redemption from the problems of Pakistan at this time and no other party is like this, eventhough they are alone at this time and many of our politicians have togather with eachother against this party, which is not good if they are pakistanies and the well wishers of pakistan.

moreover, they tried so much to disturb the peace of punjab specially through young doctors.

eventhough, they should appriciate for PML-N's workings, projects and efforts like; good administration, decent control, discipline with in the whole province in good collaboration with their team and setting an example of good team work, which are only being done by PML-N and all of the concerned ones.

May God bestow them with his blessings and instruct the other politicians to act as good country people to prove themselves as a true lovers of our country and country people.

Nawaz and party were ruling a province and silently supporting the government in center. The failure of last 5 years is not just due to government but opposition party failure as well. Btw ... ghazi barotha is a huge project and construction continued over tenure of several governments. Last enhancement to it were done in 2004. During Nawaz time only payment was made for feasibility and project was sent to dust. It was initiated during next PPP govt. Gawadar is still a dream. Motorway M2 was done during Nawaz time, remaining motorways under different governments. Do not be blinded by your leader. The achievements are minuscule at expense of huge loans from IMF and world bank which will be paid over by even our next generations.

Only Nawaz Sharif can steer the country out of crisis. Apart from Motorways, International Airports at Karachi and Lahore, Gwader Port, JF Thunder aircrafts... the last mega hydel power dam Ghazi-Barotha (adding 1450 MW) was constructed during his tenure. 8 years of military Dictatorship and then 5 years of ZarBaba's Coalition did nothing, except to open floodgates of mega corruption through Rental Power, to address the massive loadsheddings in the Country.

Sir jee ... you had five years to prioritize that.You had funds to spend on this basic necessity affecting everyone. Alas , you spent the money on buying votes by gifting laptops , creating 27 km of track to appease voters prior to elections and spending ludicrous amount on it to complete it prior to elections. Did it ever occur to you that without electricity the cheap laptops work only few minutes on charge so basically they are useless. Without electricity , the offices and factories and businesses are shutting down and the unemployment has ballooned multiple times so metro is just for joyride on free ticket. You never solved the basic issues like education, health, utilities etc. Thank you but we are fed up with you.
