Murder: Man shot dead near Barkat Market

LAHORE: A 35-year-old man was shot and killed by two men on a motorcycle in Garden Town on Monday night. Another man was injured. Syed Waqar, a resident of College Road, Township, and his friend Abdul Sattar were intercepted near Barkat Market, said the duty officer at Garden Town police station. The gunmen opened fire at their car, hitting both, and sped away. A Rescue team took the injured men to a nearby hospital, where Waqar died of his injuries. Abdul Sattar was reported to be out of danger. Police said that the motive for the killing appeared to have been an old enmity. The body was sent for an autopsy and the family of the deceased was contacted. No case had been registered at the time this report was filed.
