Disqualification plea: LHC reserves verdict
Petitioner had asked the court to disqualify Latif because he was not a ‘righteous and honest’ person.
LAHORE:
Justice Khalid Mahmood Khan of the Lahore High Court on Monday reserved verdict on a petition seeking disqualification of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz MNA Mian Javed Latif, from NA-133, Sheikhupura. A citizen, Sajjad Shah, had filed the petition and submitted that the MNA had had another man sit his BA exams. The petitioner said that Punjab University record supported his claim. He had asked the court to disqualify Latif because he was not a ‘righteous and honest’ person.
