The bodies were sent to the district headquarter hospital in Phalia for a post-mortem examination. The deceased were identified as Asiya, Hina, Sanam and Muzammil.

Paharywali police said that some neighbours entered the house when they noticed that the door had been opened for several hours. They said they found the four of them lying in a pool of blood.

Police were informed and sent the bodies for autopsies.

Police said the Iftikhar, the deceased woman’s husband and the children’s father, was in Saudi Arabia.

They said the murders seemed to be a result of an apparent family enmity. Police said they had informed Iftikhar and registered a case.
