Bomb blast: Explosion partially damages LEA’s office

According to the bomb disposal squad, the explosives were placed in a polythene bag and left near the office wall.

SWABI: A bomb planted by unidentified militants exploded in Swabi on Sunday, partially damaging a law enforcement agency’s office. DSP Swabi Salimdad Khan said there was a huge explosion early morning near his house, which is near a law enforcement agency’s office. He added that a windowpane of the office cracked due to the impact of the blast. Following the explosion, heavy contingents of police rushed to the site and surrounded the area. A search operation was launched, but no arrests were made. According to the bomb disposal squad (BDS), the explosives were placed in a polythene bag and left near the office wall. This is not the first time that law enforcement agency offices have been targeted in the district.
