Imran Khan was addressing a congregation in Chakwal.
While criticising President Asif Ali Zardari, Imran Khan questioned, “Where did he [Zardari] get the money to build Bilawal House? How much tax did he pay? Why doesn’t he give details to the public about it?”
He accused the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) of secretly allying as "fake enemies" for the upcoming elections.
"This is the reason why these parties are not making any effort in making the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) independent," Khan said.
The PTI Chairman reiterated that he had full confidence in Chief Election Commissioner Fakhruddin G Ebrahim but had doubts regarding other members of the commission.
He further said that 70% of current parliamentarians are tax evaders.
Khan said corruption had resulted in every new born in Pakistan being Rs80,000 in debt, whereas five years back this amount was at Rs35,000.

A very very valid question , Any PPP supoorter here to answer this query , :)
Very simple answer by sucking the blood of poor nation.
In the other countries of the world even in USA and India whose are facing severe and serious security threats just due to the mass killings in Afghanistan and Kashmir no any leaders have bullet and bomb proof residences with hundreds of security guards around but it happens only and mostly in Pakistan because Pakistani leaders are basically coward and they have inner menace unseen of any possible terror attack. This is why they waste lots of money on their security...
@Mirza: "The election would give the answer when the results would come. Let us go for elections, people are the best judge. ...." . People could be the judge if their opinion really counts. The ritual of inserting a piece of paper in a ballot box, by a dwindling minority, is not here nor there. Lets not delude ourselves.
Imran Khan has finally opened his mouth against PPP after a long mum. His entire tirade (because of his personal grudge) has been against PML-N only.
@Mirza:
Imran Khan worked for a living. He had an illustrious career as international cricketer, making loads of money abroad (1£= Rs. 155). He is now one of the most sought after commentator for international cricket competitions such as the World Cup, where the payscales are astronomical. I think cereal accusers like you should look up what the IPL is paying to its to stars--it is in $ millions!!! These are the pay scales, darbari sahib! And Imran has been Pakistan's shining star in cricket for three decades. Have some sense of balance and if you can't, at least have some common sense, although you may be too far gone at this stage!
The election would give the answer when the results would come. Let us go for elections, people are the best judge. Those who think they are stupid are fooling others. The fact is which of the current political leaders have ever worked for a living? What has been their career in the last couple of decades? Yet all of them have elite lifestyle. While the poor masses do not even find a job and those working poor cannot make ends meet these politicians with no work history are living large.
@CK: Yes , president Zardari must show his tax return for the last four yrs. if president of USA shows his tax return every yr, what is wrong with Mr Zardari. I would go one step further Mr Bilawal is now politician, he must declare his assets at this time . We as commoner has the right to know these facts.
Valid question, but the captain knows that money was withdrawn from Swiss account. The cost is just peanuts for them guys stollen originally from hard working poor Pakistanis.
How was new Bilawal House financed, asks Imran Khan........ Your naive and rhetorical question can be best answered from any street drug peddler of Pakistan.
@Ch. Allah Daad: HAHA do you recommend your own posts lol. So desperate are we. How about stating that investment guarantees that the total amount invested will be returned. This is perhaps your most hilarious post yet, as a wacky PMLN supporter shouldn't they be the ones investigating since you are so proud of being in the "elected" government how about getting off their fat behinds and doing some actual work. I know that is hard for you to believe PMLN actually working for people.
Malik Riaz made it and gifted to zardari. open secret
Well, we paid for his college; might as well pay for his new house LOOL
Imran's Khan's extremely liberal views have taken him this far to be one of Pakistan's biggest Party. Jisi kehtay hein na do tok. Something one would not expect from our conservative Pakistan. I hope the blunt Khan can pull this to victory.Just wait and watch Qadri will be the pad for the bat and pad sweep shot for IK
Its my birthday present. Dont be jealous
The house is for the poor.
Dear Readers we the people of Pakistan are atleast know very well about our firends and sympathisers. Our all the problems are directlly associated with the system {capitalism}. We know the role of NGOs and Marshal Laws in our poor country. We believe in our international friends like China,Iran, and others.Which is why the great people of this country are still intact with the Pakistan People Party .Because they only knows regarding the final destination of peace, progress, harmony in relations and live like a Nation. That is Socialism.Long Live Socialist Revolution Long Live Pakistan. .
Those ignorants who are asking about Bani gaala for them. First of all Imarn is not in government and the construction area is 2 kanals out 300 kanals. The house has no bomb proof bunkers, basments and a runway. Most importantly its been shown by Imran where he got the money from. So stop this BS and and ask your zardaris and shareefs about their coruption and extortion money.
@Faisal: Bribe is become so common in our society simply we can't avoid as you have said to get the things done you have paid. But if we are keep paying bribe and selecting these mentioned leaders nothing will be change and vice versa. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer...Time to wake up
Mr Zardari's family (and also his wife's family) are "jaddi pushti" jagirdars... Stupid question to ask.
It could have been gifted to him..................
@waheed buttar: @ishtiaq: Imran Khan paid all taxes from legitimate income and purchased that land. But Zardari paid no tax on any income. That is the difference..
. According to you, there was some illegitimate income too on which no taxes were paid.
Why he is asking these questions from kids? As a leader, he should know and expose corrupt people.
One person's loss is other person's gain. The donation money Imran lost in speculation, might have been won by Zardari.
Imran's rant in a public rally = Jungle mein Oye Oye!!
If someone gift's it to him...............he ofcourse is graceous enough to accept it, refusing to do so would be soooo impolite.
Mr tsunami khan why are you so selective in your scrutiny?! Zardari is not the only corrupt politician. What about equally corrupt army generals, bureacrats, judges, industrialists, and media tycoons.
From the money he earned while playing cricket... U should know u JAHIL he sold his flat in London and Abi tu PTI k gov b nai ayee,, @ishtiaq:
@ishtiaq: "Imran, How was your 300 kanals Palace was built in bani gala… ?" . This is getting embarrassing. Next, question you will ask, how was "The Palace" financed by some one who has not worked even for single a day in Pakistan.
'Democracy is the best revenge'. The stupid people deserve the leaders they get. If they were really bothered they would do something about it.
What is waseela haq scheme launched by PPP for the last five years with a cost of Rs 100 Million per year, up till now it must have reached to Rs 500 Million from the national exchequer. Where have gone this money, PPP wala say's they have given them to poor and deprive populace of this country i.e Rs 1000 per family and in this way they have increased the beggar only.
@ISTIAQ/ HE WAS ONE OF THE RICHEST PERSONS AT THAT TIME,AND REMEMBER he has never been govt.so you actually mean nothin
@ ignorant Ishtiaq... his IK house was not built by our taxes but IK's own money. Can you say the same about Bilwal house or Raiwind property? No.
Malik Riaz's gift sir, who cares about costs.
@ishtiaq
Crass stupidity. Since you can not answer the original question, you decided to slander IK himself.
Good questions, but the answers are obvious.
@ishtiaq: With his own frigging, declared, earned money and that too after paying all due taxes
Imran Khan should go and file a request under Freedom of Information Act to FBR instead of making useless political statements. Just to point out that the new and old Bilawal House, Naudero house and Zardari houses in Islamabad and Nawabshah all combined are much smaller that the Bani Gala resort of Imran Khan.
Ishtiaq
Imran borrowed money from his exwife and payed her back by selling his London flat. That,s how he built his house in bani gala.
Easy peasy! The owner of the society is building it for him, for the endless favours zardari must have done? @Ishtiaq: I am not a supporter of PTI or imran khan for that matter, but he has answered that question a million times on electronic media. He shifted the money he earned after selling his apartment in central london, which he had bought from his earnings as a cricket legend. As far as the price is concerned, it was bought years back and the real estate market hadn't really hit its prime then. Avoid the blame game and try and question our leaders and hold them accountable because they are the ones who have had excess to state money and machinery. Imran has never even been in the government.
@ishtiaaq, IK didn't hold any public position and everyone knows how he earned his way all his life.
@Ishtiaq. Did you just wake up? IK has answered this question a gazillion times in talk shows and press conferences. Maybe he should write a personal letter on stamp paper addressed just to you?
Time for French style revolution
shame on these leaders to live in these bomb proof palaces they may be able to protect themself from the accountabilty of people but who will save them from the accountabilty of Allah SWT' and the common man in our country does not have roof on there head and food on their plate.
Hard earned money from cricket, commenting on cricket and by selling property in London. Now tell me where did Sharief and Zardari got their money from ? If you don't know then let me tell you, BY LOOTING PAKISTAN . Shame on both.
@ishtiaq: Imran Khan paid all taxes from legitimate income and purchased that land. But Zardari paid no tax on any income. That is the difference.
Ishtiaq: I'm not a supporter of IK, but are you implying that he built his house with money gained from corruption? That's strange, because he's never held any government post.
Pakistan has been no more than a fiefdom for the few families who have been looting it since her inception with impunity without any compunction and care. But then, we are not the only ones the whole Islamic History with only a few minor breaks here and there is replete with what we are experiencing today.
@ishtiaq: In Lahore how Sharif family build home on 75000 Kanal???
Why Lahore Development Authority pass the designe and map of Lahore Bilwal house???
His friend, Malik Riaz, built it for him--this is Bahria Town!
@ishtiaq:
He sold his flat in Knightsbridge London and bought the land and built the house. Any other questions, my dear serf?
This has been gifted by Riaz Malik of Bahria Town as a gift as reported in the media.Riaz Malik has been cleared by NAB in property cases, we wish him best luck to make a fresh start.
Imran, How was your 300 kanals Palace was built in bani gala... ?
PTI i love u!! U ROCK!!
by looting country
so what does PPP spokesmen have to say about this??? Nothing I presume-Silence is Golden. Keep on the corrupt work by the known corrupt leaders-nothing new there. The question remain will they be given a second chance by people of Pakistan?
IK you could have asked this question in multiple choice test pattern by giving possible answer as you know the best from the most corrupt elite of the country gets funds for such luxuries.
Indeed the people need an answer. Alas this too will go the way of the Swiss scandal.
A nation which elects, re-elects and then again elects people like Zardari, Benazir, Nawaz Sharif, Raisani, Fazal ur Rehman and so on, deserve this. Go to any government department and you'll know the answer where all that money comes from, I am just going through building a house( Not even started yet) in Islamabad and these are the bribes which I have already paid uptill now:
CDA surveyer : 3000 for the first visit IESCO meter installation: 11000 for one three phase meter CDA drawing approval: 15000 (And don't give me lectures of doing a wrong doing, my brother tried not to do it and his electricity meter installation took 1 year. I don't have that much time and energy :( )
Go to interior punjab and see there what happens. My servant comes from Pindi Bhattian area, these poor people don't have access to canal water as they don't have enough money to bribe the government official (I don't know what do they call that person) who allows provision of water. Diesel is so expensive, they can't afford to run tubewell, resultantly, despite of the fact that these people have almost 30 acres land, he is my servant :(
and these are just three things, I expect to add 100 more. For, Mr. Zardari, multiply these figures by atleast a million.
Malik Riaz paid for it
Come on Mr. Khan, one has to be naive to even has a question like this, Mr.10% has stashed ill gotten millions of dollars in overseas banks and a couple of hundred thousands of dollars is nothing to him. And how many of these ruling class pay taxes, just look at the NA and PAs members, how many of them are paying their fair share of taxes, they are the ones who make tax laws to fleece the common populace. I hope to God some one should clean up this stink in the country and put these people where they belong.Enough is enough, it can't go on in this 21st century, the world is leaving us behind.
Imran Khan has not yet been compromised by Malik Riaz and may ask this question from Zardari. Why could Sharifs not ask it? One wonders.
It is difficult to win elections on zardari bashing alone
From zardari charitable trust ofcourse. The great leader deserves this little place to rest.
what a silly question to ask Kaptaan... using money looted from the poor ofcourse! zardari is no angel like mr mian sharif. just look at raiwind palace for example - a pristine model of simplicity and humbleness, developed solely using hard earned money. why build something from your own pocket when you can get it done for free?
"While criticizing President Asif Ali Zardari, Imran Khan questioned, “Where did he [Zardari] get the money to build Bilawal House? How much tax did he pay? Why doesn’t he give details to the public about it?” Well, Imran Khan knows Mr.Zardari can't answer such difficult questions. "Khan said corruption had resulted in every new born in Pakistan being Rs80,000 in debt, whereas five years back this amount was 35,000.'' Corruption of course, but also inflation.
You keep going Khan and speak the truth, we are with you!
IK you are not going to get an answer so dont waste your time. Tax is something that only salaried people pay. Politicians and feudals are exempt from taxation.
Easy peasy... Our Taxes!
Valid questions? should be probed by FBR/FTO
Our of the roti, kapra and makan (the PPP manifesto) the makan part is accomplished. The single most remarkable achievement in 5 years. Bravo Abu Bilawal! Hello people, let's reelect all RaiWindians. These guys are cool.
Very rightly asked. Long Live PTI
This is the property of poor people
Valid question Mr Khan. But dont expect N League to ask this question. Only you have the courage
Well said Imran Khan.
@ Imran Khan All feudals are same,,corrupt with no moral values,,,
Questioned must be answered
Valid question.
