KARACHI: UBL Omni has been recognised at a global level yet again, with a nomination for the 18th GSMA Global Mobile Awards, 2013 to be held in Barcelona, Spain on February 26.
This is the single largest annual event in the mobile industry organised by GSMA spanning over 220 countries and uniting nearly 800 of the world’s mobile operators, as well as more than 200 companies in the broader mobile ecosystem. UBL Omni had been shortlisted for the category of ‘GSMA Women best mobile product or service for women in emerging markets’ for transparent and efficient loan repayment and cash grant disbursement services.
UBL Omni is a pioneering player of Pakistan’s branchless banking sector that offers government to person (G2P) disbursements, corporate cash collections, salary disbursements, mobile accounts, and money transfer and bill payment services.
