A Joint Maritime Information and Coordination Centre (JMICC) has been established by Pakistan Navy to improve inter agency coordination between organisations and departments associated with the maritime sector.
Defence Minister Naveed Qamar on Friday urged authorities concerned to support the nascent organisation to improve maritime security.
The new body will function as centre of Joint Maritime Information Organisation (JMIO) and will incorporate all stakeholders.
