Terror threat: Gilgit-Baltistan put on high alert

. Security has been put on high alert in Gilgit following potential threats of terrorism, a spokesperson for Gilgit-Baltistan police said on Friday.

According to the police, security installations are considered potential targets, prompting authorities to further tighten safety measures. Enhanced security arrangements have been implemented at all religious sites, key installations, and offices of law enforcement agencies.

Police have established multiple checkpoints at key locations and entry/exit points of the city, where strict checking and search operations of suspicious individuals are underway.
