With a sense of weariness, India rejected all claims made by Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar about Kashmir at the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit in Cairo.
An official government spokesman insisted that “the OIC has no locus standi on matters concerning the internal affairs of India or the recent incidents on the Line of Control.”
The spokesman was responding to questions about the statement made at the OIC contact group meeting on Jammu and Kashmir.
The official added that the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) has no relevance in matters related to LoC and rebuffed the foreign minister’s statement as “neither new nor helpful.”
In the past, India has rejected Pakistan’s efforts to raise the issue of Kashmir at the OIC.

I'm not at all happy with the India-Pak war for the Kashmir. Both the countries should have keep silence regarding this issue and help the world in the global peace. Thank you.
Kasmir needs to be united and united we stand as Kahmiri's against the atrocities that India is causing on innocent people.
The underlying plan for India is to try and turn the tables to make that region a majority 'hindi Indian' populated society. Only then will they choose the path of a referendum, however they fail to realise that if they plan, then they should know that Allah is the best of planners!.
The clear agreement during partition was that any majority state with muslims was supposed to be part of Pakistan, with the aforementioned, Kashmir as well as Andhra Pradesh should have been with Pakistan.
I think India should count their lucky stars that Pakistan isnt claiming stakes on both areas ;-). The struggle to breakaway from the Indians will continue, there's absolutely no commonality between us!
@Queen: Its all about islamic cooperation - ganging up on non islamic countries and people to further the interest of a islamic state like pak - not to be taken seriously
@Queen: What about Balochistan?
History can't be reverted. What matters most is how safe, secure and happy the citizenry of the place feels. Governments will change, so do their priorities. But at the end of the day, what matters is, whether the so called "Heaven on Earth" is what it ought to be? If it is not, then, it becomes the responsibility of all who matter to regain Kashmir her lost glory. We all know for sure that no amount of blame game can bring her back her lost glory. There are no shortcuts either. Then, what is the option we are left with if we are to ensure safety and security of generations? While agreeing that the intensity of feelings of those affected is too deep for an outsider to fathom, we need to wade this ailing mother Kashmir through these troubled waters, and if we won't do it, who else will?!
The truth on the ground is that the "To the victor goes the spoils".. right now India is militarily stronger than the Pakistan as a result India gets to keep Kashmir...the only way for Pakistan is to just wait and hope that India collapses economically & militarily so that it can conquer it for itself, or just forget about it and focus on developing itself economically & militarily ....as I personally believe its going to be a very long wait.
human rights violations going on in Kashmir................OIC should send a team to Baluchistan and of-course the Shia Sunni conflict that is going on before Kashmir is considered.Probably the Kashmiris are ignorant of the future that awaits them!
@Queen: kashmir has been integral to hindu history for 85% of its own history till 1400 or so.And all contributions from kashmir in science, mathematics, astronomy, art, literature happened in pre-islamic period
Long LIve Freedom Long Live Kashmir. Thanx to all the great leadership of the Muslim Ummah.Red salute to the great leader ship of Pakistan People Party.
the lands of subcontinent rightfully belong to those who identify themselves as Indians. Indians paid their blood and got independence from british, while pakis stoodwatch and stole the land from Indians. they can't even manage what they got already and still claiming for the lands that are originally belongs to Indians.
Do they allow women to speak at OIC meetings ?
i don't like wars and definitely don't want to fight between INDO and PAK for J & K so i recommend not to create conflict and should keep peace and at last i want to say that live let other live that's it :D
Baloch resent Pakistan , Kashmiris resent India ,Tibetans resent China, Kurds resent Turkey , Chechans resent Russia, Quebec resents Canada, North Irish resent British, but this has no meaning if a country is not discriminating in principal (as in constitution and judiciary is impartial). There is no limit for divisions. Bigger countries like USA, Russia , China, Canada, Brazil , India are more stable than smaller countries like the islamic ones.
@Mahmood: Because India just felt like it.
S M Krishna as a foreign minister oversaw some major screwups by his government, which led to Pakistan starting these gully diplomatic battles. Imagine what would happen if Pakistan recovers from its mess. India is not prepared.
@ C P VIJAYAN I don't think India needs any help from Pakistan on that particular account. Most human rights organizations know what is going on in Kashmir. What saddens me the most is the plight of Kashmiris in that part of world. My grandparents immigrated from Jammu to Sialkot at the time of partition, so not only do I have Kashmiri lineage but I also have many relatives that live there. What's peculiar about this issue is that Pakistan and India try to make it a territorial dispute, to me however human lives more important. This stupid jingoism and greed for land on both sides of the border isn't helping people living in Kashmir. That's my primarily concern!
Dear Indian Neighbors, will you tell us why there is article 370 in Indian Constitution, if Kashmir is integral part of India?
"NEW DELHI:With a sense of weariness, India rejected all claims made by Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar about Kashmir at the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit in Cairo." India is never ready to resolve Kashmir issue. Why do we forget this harsh reality by knowing every thing exactly and accurately about Indian intentions and why always try to reconcile with India and emphasize on always peace talks and negotiations?Sans resolving Kashmir issue declaration of India as the Most Favorite Nation by the Pakistani PPP's leaders shall be the greatest ever effrontery and meanness...
Fist check your human rights record, then talk about India
Kashmir is and will remain an integral part of India and all efforts by Pakistan to turn public opinion against India is sure to fail simply because Pakistan is infested with more problems than it could deal for the present.Afghan,Taliban,LeT and a host other issues plus the distancing it feels with US will force it to throw up. A time will come when our brethren in J & K would rise up in unison and say that they feel proud to be part of India. We need patience and the J & K Govt should do all it could to bring development and with it,happiness. It would be in the interest of India to see that issues are not blown out of proportions and dealt delicately.
What else can we expect from India? India does not want any international organization to take notice of the human rights violations going on in Kashmir because if the real situation in Kashmir becomes known to the world, then it will create problems for 'secular' India. The same case with Israel as well.
