The OIC, in a joint statement at its 12th summit in Cairo, also asked India to allow international human rights groups and humanitarian organisations to visit Jammu and Kashmir.
It also implored the Indian government to carry out its own independent investigation into the discovery of mass graves in Indian Kashmir and to hold fair trials for those responsible for the crimes.
LoC tensions
The statement further expressed concern over the recent ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) and welcomed Pakistan’s proposal to hold an investigation through the United Nations Military Observer Group for India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP).
Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar addressed the OIC summit, stressing the need for a peaceful solution to the Kashmir dispute. She asserted that Pakistan remains committed to deliberations with India to resolve issues.

OIC MATTERS FOR PAKISTAN. OIC IS A NON-ENTITY AS REGARDS INDIA IS CONCERNED. IN FIRST PLACE THERE WILL BE NO GROUPING OF NATIONS ON THE RELIGION BASIS. AND IF SOON OIC WILL NOT BE DISMANTLED TIME IS NOT FAR OFF THAT AN ORGANISATION OF NON-ISLAMIC COUNTRIES WILL BE BORN TO COUNTER OIC. THIS WILL COMPRISE OF COUNTRIES WHERE MAJORITIES OF CHRISTIANS , HINDUS , BUDDISTS AND JEWS ARE THERE TO FORM A STRONG GROUP AND IT WILL GO AGAINST OIC.
What is this OIC thing?
@realist: Good post. Pakistanis should read this news from China to know its perspective towards India. China is keen to maintain healthy relationship with India based on equality as it respects latter's economic and military capabilities. China understands India's strategic alliance with US but point out latter's independent foreign policy for continuing friendship with it. This is a marked change of foreign policy towards India by the new leadership in China.
Oic is a joke. Thank you
OIC should allow facts to surface in their societies. As an example: why are minorities, non muslims not treated as equal citizens? Why are minorities leaving Islamic countries besides being eliminated by the pious ones? Why does the OIC blame the West by day and beg by night to rescue it from the likes of Gaddafi, Saddam and Assad? Why doesn't the OIC investigate the persecution of Shias - they are Muslims - in Pakistan? For all the bravado, why doesn't the OIC send petro dollars for the upliftment of poor Muslims in Pakistan? Why do Pakistanis require aid from their number one enemy - USA when the OIC is so available?
Good move by OIC and Pakistan. Both of them have enormous credibility as far as human rights and treatment of religious minorities and women is concerned. India should pay heed to these two paragons of virtue who stand for human rights and freedom everywhere!
Pls send them to Pakistan instead. They would find more facts there than in India.
Another resolution....1st OIC has to make own house in Order then talk about others...Ooops..I forgot...What about a fact finding mission about human right abuses in Balochistan,Karachi,Peswar area and Tribal areas?? Does OIC think that they are not human than their beloved kashmiri people??...
@Muhammed Usama Aziz: As a major regional and even world power full of sense of pride, India has an independent foreign policy. It never thinks itself the client state of other countries. Instead, it has always been proud of its independent foreign policy.

@Muhammed Usama Aziz: China and India are both ancient civilizations and big developing countries. It is the most important event in the history of international relations in the 21st century for the two countries to have embarked on the road of revitalization at the same time. The world has enough space as well as the need for the common development of China and India. The two countries have shared responsibility and interests to cherish, maintain, and develop sound mutual relations. China will continue to attach importance to China-India relations and look forward to closely cooperating with the Indian side to create a better future of China-India relations.

@Muhammed Usama Aziz: Poor Pakistanis cannot comprehend the fact that they're being used as a pawn in the clash of the Asian superweights...
While India is trying to corner China using ASEAN countries,China is doign the same by increasing their influence on Srilanka,Maldives,Pakistan,Bhutan..
Pakistan consider China as an ally, but they consider you as a pawn...U know the sad fact is that the pawn is always expendable and it cannot turn back once it goes ahead....
I urge Pakistan and Pakistani people that stop thinking about Kashmir. India will never give a inch of land to anyone. Pakistan is not stronger than India economically, militarily, diplomatically. wasting generations for a peace of land is not advisable. today Pakistan is facing much more problems. so please first become a stronger nation than have your say. world understands the language of strength.
who casres...
First let a fack finding and human rights group into south FATA areas and balouchistan
OIC has no business in the internal affairs of India. Though I agree that the army atrocities need to be addressed and culprits to be brought to justice, but that is another discussion. OIC stay out of this, we are not an Islamic country that we have to listen to you. You better take care of your own Muslim atrocities in the Arab world.
OIC chews with borrowed teeth and India is a hard nut to crack.
@Behari Kebab: "Next steps: trade sanctions, oil embargo, expulsion of Indians from OIC countries. There’s a storm coming & you don’t even know it. "
Dream on buddy dream on. US is working on ensuring that all its oil comes from North America. China followed by India are going to be their biggest customers. No way they are going to alienate one of their biggest customers.
You should know that Abu Hamza, an Indian terrorist who had been given a Pakistani passport and sent to Saudi Arabia post 26/11 was extradited to India by the Saudis despite requests from Pakistan not to do so.
These periodic calls on Kashmir have been coming for 50 years and mean nothing. Saudis have more to worry about in their own neighbourhood.
@indian trolls why do u skip topics that are related to india and start attacking aksiatn whenever u see a chance. It will be much nice if you see your own reality and defend yourself here first!!!

India would like to listen Israel?what Israel wanna say about that?By the way india patched up a 2000cr defence deal with Israel..to build drones.Does it sound good?
IOC who? what? how? when? ??????????
So much for Indian attempts to isolate Pakistan! Next steps: trade sanctions, oil embargo, expulsion of Indians from OIC countries. There's a storm coming & you don't even know it.
OIC meddling in Kashmir is unwarranted and India is unlikely to take any notice of the same. OIC is well advised to stay away from Kashmir dispute as they have failed to resolve or play any useful role in conflicts taking place in their own region so far.
OIC should also demand of Pakistan to allow a fact-finding mission to look into the shameless killings of shias and other non-sunnis in Pakistan.
OIC, while you are at it, do investigate the following news:
Air Force kills own people on suspicion
Surely the democratic; human-rights loving rulers of OIC will be worried about a country using Air Force and heavy artillery to kill its own citizens; and that too Muslims.
Hope your report on the above news will reach the Human Rights Commission of the UN asap.
Facts are: Kashmir was part of India. Arabs came and occupied it. Now India wants its Kashmir back. Give POK back to India and take Arabs out of POK to Pakistan.
End of the story and let Indians and Pakistani Arabs live in eternal peace.
as if india cares what OIC says!! btw isnt india a blocked state??
Sure OIC. They are most welcome after they have already gone to
Libya to find out not just what Assad is doing but also what Saudi backed rebels are doing,
KSA to review the freedom of worship accorded to miorities and rights granted to women
UAE to review the treatment of labourers
Egypt to review the treatment of Copts.
Pakistan to review how within 60 years Hindus and Sikhs were reduced from being 20% of population to less than 2%
This is intelligent diplomacy from Pakistan raising the issue of Kashmir in one of the most esteemed international fora, the OIC. Our government's ministry of external affairs has to take a serious note and speed up the resolution process. Since India is not a member of this reputed global organization despite the 18 crore Indian Muslim citizens, Pakistan for now has a concrete advantage of voicing its one-sided views at OIC. Resolution of Kashmir will also make India eligible for OIC membership. It is necessary for member nations not to have any disputes between them.
India is not a member of OIC and does not care for OIC now. They had some clout decades ago and even at that time India did not care for OIC. Today OIC is a dead organization and India has grown beyond OIC. All OIC members say one thing in OIC meeting and in private each say a totally different thing to India. This includes Pakistan also. OIC members should first look into the Shia-Sunni conflicts within their region. They should also come out with a report on how many young boys, most of them 4 - 7 years old, they have bought from Pakistan over the last so several decades to ride their camels in camel races and how many of these boys have died or have been crippled for life. Before calling on others to look into muslim vs. non-muslim conflicts/issues, every muslim country should first look into muslim vs. muslim conflicts/issues within their own country. It would really shame them. Over 10 million muslims have been killed by muslims themselves in the last 30 years and that too within their own muslim countries. To name a few, Iran/Iraq war, Pakistan/Bangladesh war, etc.
UN fact finding mission should be sent to all OIC countries to investigate their treatment of minorities.
ok
If it were not such a serious matter, what is this but a joke:
The OIC, in a joint statement at its 12th summit in Cairo, also asked India to allow international human rights groups and humanitarian organisations to visit Jammu and Kashmir.
India better investigate the cases on its own or else even OIC will not stop making such statements.
One would have thought the OIC evenhanded if they had also asked for a inspection of the camps of Hindus evicted from the valley and of the terrorist training camps in POK . With their one sided concern they are not newsworthy and do not get reported anywhere other than the Muslim world . For the rest of the world they are only of interest when they talk about OIL .
Oh! I see!!
Vishwa Hindu Parishad (World Hindu Organisation) has issued a counter call to investigate Muslim on Muslim atrocities.
Lets just assume this demand will meet the same fate as a UN Resolution (to have a referendum in J&K promised by Nehru)
What does OIC have anything to do with India. If I remember correctly, India also sends her member to OIC.
who cares ? cry all OIC people :P 'selective' love for human rights is shameful :(
