In a statement issued on the ISPR website on Saturday, the spokesperson said that the report was yet another attempt to malign Pakistan and its institutions through fabricated and unverified reports, completely favouring an anti-Pakistan agenda.
“The HRW has based its opinion on imprecise facts and biased views,” the statement read.
“The HRW report seems to be a clear attempt to further fuel already ongoing scectarian violence and to create chaos and disorder in Pakistan. HRW has no credibility and has been criticised world wide for raising controversies through its biased reports and funding from certain quarters and its reports have been rejected by many countries of the world.”
The 635-page HRW World Report 2013 launched in late January, had alleged that the Pakistani government had failed to act against abuses by security and intelligence agencies and allowed extremist groups to attack religious minorities.

@Shaami: you shouldn't keep in mind such lies . HRW are definitely allowed in indian kashmir and palestine. it is your boluchistan where HRW is not allowed.
@shammi brother u did a good attempt to put things in their right perspective, the prob with us is that we do not believe in the insight thing, just the superficial report is being taken, we must try to under stand what is the center of gravity for our country, if we can identify one: next we must find who all are supporting it and who are trying to unhinge it, we'll identify the friends and foes very quickly............
Well If we look at Shia Genocide it seems true.
@Shaami: So all Sympathies only for Kashmiri and excuse of "State of War" for Balochis ? I am very certain that you do not see anything wrong with that logic.
Once you give the men in boots a shot at power, they will not let go. Pakistan can shake off anything except the vice-like bear hug of the establishment. They have seen too much money and too much power and they have the guns.
So what have the intelligence agencies done to prove that it is pack of lies. These agencies are aware of names of members from these banned organization financed by countries that all media is paid to shut up. HRW is doing their job, it is for these agencies to do their job. Stop blaming the world, get your act together instead of hiding your head in the sand.
635 pages, of which only 6 pages are written about Pakistan .... HRW has not done justice to the real HR situation in Pakistan.
Why does it happen that the denial is published without the actual story/report. Before the ISPR statement , the actual report specially the excerpts related to Pakistan must also be published in order for the readers to understand what exactly they are denying
Reminds me of the same replies the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) gives against every HRW report listing their failures and abuses. I guess this was one of the worldwide nations ISPR were referring to who criticize HRW for their 'inaccuracies' to bolster their claim and credibility. Are HRW also wrong when they detail Indian state abuses as well?
And this ridiculous twisted gem
Speaking about the reality of sectarian cleansing and genocide, instead of self-censoring on societal and state's bigotry or spouting biased or ignorant 'both sides' neutrality for a false equivalence, is NOT 'fueling fire' to the ongoing 'sectarian violence' nor the reason of 'creating chaos and disorder' in Pakistan. Its some of the known extremist groups from the conservative majority population that openly hate monger through-out Pakistan against the minorities. And the state, be it army, civil or courts, fail to clamp down on them either out of fear, ineptness or complicity that fuels sectarianism. Priorities are just so misplaced and the denial shows a lack of realization and lack in sincerity in tackling ideological prejudices and extremism.
In urdu it is said "Aaiena Dikhaya to bura man gai" It is an expected reaction from a sacred institution. In fact angles come from heaven to committ religious based atrocities.
Another nail in the coffin of the Land of the Pure or if you prefer to call it "The Islamic Republic of Pakistan" RIP.
" Army dismisses another Human Rights Watch report" +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Wow another Hat Trick.!
This HRW Report is not News +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Every Pakistani knows its true.
Not only HRW but the whole world is ganged up against Pakistan to malign its good name and therefore Pakistan has rightly issued denial number 100000000000 against this false accusation.
Who exactly is Human Rights Watch?
@Pan Mat: No my logic is not misaligned at all and i understood it very well. Also read my 6th-7th sentence as well that i am not condoning the acts at all but all i am saying that we are in a state of war and our courts conviction is less 4 percent in all cases so it might be the case that our agencies would be desperate enough to took action without discretion of the law. The reason of giving some examples were that every country has rights and wrongs but you will not generalize the criticims any of your government department or any of your policy as it is not homogeneous in any part of the world and some bias that coincide with your interest always remain there.
@muneeb But i have a different contention as well. Do you know religious ideologies does make an important role in radicalizing the population and in Pukhtoon belt more than 90 percent follow the most conservative view of Islam known as Deobandism which is closest to Wahabism while in Punjab more than 80 percent follow Brelvism and Brelvis always remained against Taliban ideologically. So people on the ground does play a major role in rooting out the evil. I live near Mianwali and do you know our road directly lead to Waziristan region but You will never see Taliban presence in Mianwali region. Why? The reason is simple that people on the ground dont want Taliban and the day Taliban even to dare to enter into Mianwali division then My family will be the first one to took out our Assault weapons to defend our land against Taliban till our last breath. So no one cannot deny the role of agencies but try to change your school of thought as well which gives way to fundamentalism and i am sure if locals will stand up then no one can dare to live their without permission,.
"alleged that the Pakistani government had failed to act against abuses by security and intelligence agencies and allowed extremist groups to attack religious minorities."
@Faisal:
It on récord that Mr Malik has pleaded to MPs to legislate anti terror law...yet till today it is not done.....
criminals go scot free due to insufficient evidence and not due to courts....pls why you guys not fund truth instead of leaving no stone unturned to bash courts...
there is no proper investigation on scientific lines with weak prosecution....'
no witness protection program...
no proper law to convict these criminals...
hence, dont blame judiciary....
@Shaami:
And this gives right to Pakistani agencies to kill their own citizens. Do you see the misalignment of your logic?
In general two "wrongs" do not make one "right".
Just ask the people of effected areas what is the true face of our security establishment. It is easy to sit in peaceful environment of Punjab and get emotional with patriotic backing of these agencies.Either they are all sold out or or they have completely failed,in both cases we must be ashamed instead of them because we want positive image of pakistan and there is no accountablity for them causing international embarresment for pakistan.
Your(Pakistanis) human rights reports is worst than India's(our).Shame on you.
The report appears to have been prepared by some terrorist organization. It has tacit support for killings of innocent people by terrorists organizations but are very critical on action against them.
"The 635-page HRW World Report 2013 launched in late January, had alleged that the Pakistani government had failed to act against abuses by security and intelligence agencies and allowed extremist groups to attack religious minorities." - ET
Who has the nerves to call this a lie, except the ISPR.
Its time to empower our law enforcement agencies through constitution so that don't need to resort to eliminating, kidnapping these killers. Almost 90% of culprits ultimately walk free of our courts only to create more chaos, killing more freely and leaving all those who apprehended them initially more vulnerable.
We should kept in mind that HRW team is not even allowed to enter into Indian Occupied Kashmir ( IOK ) and Israeli Controlled Palestinian Settlements and also according to HRW American invasion of Iraq, Afghanistan have minimal human right violations while we all know what happened there but we know stakes are good when only countries like Pakistan are the topic of the day. I could not rule out at all that our Forces are involved in any atrocity as overall we are in a state of war but it is my request to the electronic media to be objective while targeting our own interests.
Only the army and isi tell the truth. They won every war they fought including the one in 1970 in the former East Pakistan. They have never acted outside the constitution. They even held elections within 90 days as promised.
HRW should be banned.
