Karzai arrives in Pakistan

Afghan President Hamid Karzai has arrived in Pakistan to discuss the regional security situation.

ISLAMABAD: Afghan President Hamid Karzai has arrived in Pakistan to discuss the regional security situation.

Karzai is scheduled to meet his Pakistani counterpart, Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and other high officials.


During the meeting issues like rehabilitation of flood affectees, peace situation in Afghanistan, and other issues of bilateral interest will be discussed. He is also expected to address the media in Islamabad later today.

Karzai will leave for an official visit to the US after his visit concludes here.

US envoy Richard Holbrooke has also arrived in Pakistan amid claims that the US came to Pakistan’s aid in floods before anyone else.
