More than 24 students were injured when a school bus turned over on Mardan-Charsadda Road on Thursday morning.
The driver of the bus was speeding and lost control of the vehicle, said District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Fazal-e-Akbar. He added that around 7:30am, he received a call from the hospital that a bus carrying students of Peshawar Model School Charsadda Branch has overturned. It was learnt that the brakes of the vehicle were also not working.
The DHO said all the children were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital where they were administered with first aid and then discharged. “None of the children were admitted to the hospital as all of them received minor injuries,” Akbar said.
