Golf: Yousuf shines as CAS Open tees off

Amjad Yousuf fired a five under-par 67 to lead the opening round of the Chief of Air Staff Open Golf Championship that teed off yesterday at the Airmen Golf Course in Karachi.
Amjad was trailed by Ansar Mehmood, M Asif and M Tahir, who closed play at second with two-under par 70. Coming in third were five golfers — Sunny Masih, Matloob Ahmed, Arshad Rashid, M Akhtar and Shafiq Masih, who returned with identical cards of 71.
Meanwhile, Mehmood Kiani led the opening round of the senior professionals’ event with a score of 74, taking the lead from Ghulam Nabi and Ghani Khan by a stroke.
