Raise, Fringe Benefits: Grade IV hospital employees protest

The protest was led by Pervaiz Hussain, president of the Employees Welfare Association at the DHQ hospital.

FAISALABAD: Grade IV employees at the district headquarters (DHQ) hospital staged a demonstration on Wednesday to press their demands for an increase in their salaries and provision of fringe benefits. The demonstrators carried banners and placards and shouted their demands. The protest was led by Pervaiz Hussain, president of the Employees Welfare Association at the DHQ hospital. Addressing the protesters, he said that grade IV employees had a pivotal role in the performance of the hospital. But, he said, unfortunately these employees were being poorly paid and were deprived of fringe benefits.
