MIRAMSHAH:

Four more children have died of measles within a week, the Medical Superintendent of the Miramshah district headquarters hospital Dr Muhammad Ali told newsmen on Tuesday.

The epidemic has claimed lives of more than 20 children in the agency. The recent deaths follow widespread immunisation.

Every day more than 10 children suffering from measles were admitted to the hospital, he said adding that at the same time they have pneumonia due to severe cold. “We have sent multiple teams in the areas to vaccinate the children again,” he said.
